Colocation: The Project Charter

In this episode I talk about the importance of creating a charter for every project.

The charter formally authorizes the project and documents several high-level pieces of information including:

  • The sponsor and PM names

  • The project purpose and alignment with strategy

  • Constraints, assumptions, and "must haves"

  • High level risks

  • Key stakeholders

  • Success criteria

In project management, colocation refers to the practice of bringing project teams together to improve communication, effectiveness, and ultimately results. While the term normally refers to physical proximity, the podcast will be our opportunity to get together at a time and place convenient to you, whether that's at the office or gym, during your commute, or even while walking your dog.
